Model Spotlight : Kendall Jenner for Miss Vogue Australia

Kendall as she is now professionally known has been taking the modelling and fashion industry by storm (she dropped her last name, perhaps as an attempt to further herself from the crazy tv show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians and her crazy family.)

In the Spring/Summer fashion shows, she has been busy walking down the catwalk for Balmain, Marc Jacobs and Chanel but she has taken some time to pose for the camera for Miss Vogue Australia.

See below for the gorgeous photos.

Cover : Vogue on Blake Lively

You may immediately think of Gossip Girl when you think of Blake Lively or she's married to Ryan Reynolds.

But did you know, she spent two years building a website called Preserve before she officially launched it.

Her website is dedicated to food, clothes, pillows, dishes, dining tables etc...a bit like Martha Stewart's areas of expertise. It's a magazine so you can read, videos so you can watch and a shop so you can buy if you see something you like.

To visit her website, click here.

Vogue US recently headed to Blake's favourite place and shot some amazing photos against some breathtaking backdrops. Photos by the great Mario Testino.

Will you check out her website?

Vogue Cover : Kim and Kayne

US Vogue, Kim and Kayne, April 2014

Anna Wintour, 'the Devil' from the New York best-selling book turned high ranking movie 'The Devil Wears Prada' had previously said people like Kim and Kayne would never get the honour of being on the cover of US Vogue.

Obviously, she's changed her mind since. The April issue is out soon and in the interview Kayne is a 'creative polyglot' and Kim is a 'cultural phenomenon'.

Check out some of the photos below from the photoshoot.

The photographer is the famous Annie Leibovitz.

P.s I love the look Kim and Kayne's daughter, North is giving.

My Vogue Fashion Night Out

The first Thursday of September is Vogue Fashion Night Out. This is a global event and it was held in fashion capitals (Paris, Milan) as well as cities like Amsterdam, Mexico City and of course Sydney.

This event started because retailers and major fashion brand were struggling to keep afloat during and following the GFC.

This is my second fashion night out. Check out some of my photos from my night below and don't forget to check back tomorrow for photos from around the world (including a trendy Vogue bus in Amsterdam)

Low light of the evening : Most of the places that had said they would have drinks and canapes didn't have any when I got there...so a little disappointing (especially Westfields shops, they must have ran out or underestimated the amount of people)

Next year, I am not going to read the event calendar or plan my night so I don't get disappointed or have any expectations. That's my tip to you!

In Martin Place, with portable food stores, Asos, Whitehouse Fashion Institute

In Martin Place, spot the Gelato cart!

In Pitt St Mall, Eva Mendes on the poster

Check back tomorrow for my favourite Instagram pix of Vogue Fashion Night Out from around the world.

The Short Model

Kate Moss.

She has had a good share of highs and plenty of lows (key her story about being caught and photographed smoking pot).

But she has come-back stronger than ever this month and she has proved the modelling and fashion industry wrong regarding her height.

She is short for a model. Sitting at just 5'7 which is 170cm. (I wish I was that tall...)

This English chick has ridden the success carriage for decades and has continuous to do so...with her many campaigns with luxury brands including Mango, Gucci, Versace, the list doesn't end.

So this month, she is on the cover of US Vogue. Looking stunning as ever in her photoshot. See cover pic.

And in the same month, is her nude photo for Brazil Vogue. (Google this because she's definitely nude and I don't want anyone's butt on my blog)

The Asian countries love her as well (probably because she is the only successful model that is closer to the general population's average height). She's on the cover of Japan Vogue's May Edition.

Her modelling isn't stopping even though she is 37.

Here is to more moss!

March Fashion Magazine Covers

This week, I couldn't ignore the glossiness and beauty of each one of these international magazine covers. They are all engaging in their own right and they are highlighting some new talents.

UK VOGUE

For the boys, Model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – is starring in the forthcoming Transformers 3 film – makes her solo cover debut with this month's issue. (She replaces Megan Fox...so what does everyone think?)

US VOGUE

Not shy of attention, this lady has achieved her first ever Vogue cover. Finally, the Devil Wears Prada acknowledges Lady GaGa's influences on trends and fashion.

US ELLE

Katy Perry in colour blocks. She speaks about how her first record company dropped her when she was writing and singing Christian rock songs. Interesting fact, she was blonde back then. Brunette definitely suits her.

AUST VOGUE

The one message for this season is that it’s time to be brave and embrace the joy of colour (I am trying to remind myself not to wear black every single day), whether it be with prints, stripes or just big bright bold blocks. And what better inspiration than that capital of colour - MEXICO! (Which is the location of where the cover was shot)

All of these mags are available at Borders and some available at the local newsagency.

Happy colour blocking or striping!

The New Trend - Femi-man

Now I don't know about you, but when a guy who openly says that Zac Efron is hot, this raises many alarm bells for me.

It also doesn't help when he is a lot older than Efron and he secretly watches his movies over and over again. And yes, this includes 17 Again and Charlie St Cloud.

Efron is a lot more feminine than the average Joe. He has been quoted on numerous occasions about his love affair for makeup. And he doesn't go anywhere without it on. Heck, does he wear more makeup than his ex-girlfriends?

This got me thinking, how far do some men go?

The latest model that is taking the international stage by storm is Andrej Pejic.

From Broadmeadows, Australia, this dude (yes I said dude) is only 19 years old. He is Serbian and he said he doesn't mind that designers hire him to dress in women's clothing.

I don't know about you, but he is one beautiful boy. And he is a natural on-stage and on the catwalk.

He has been incredibly successful so far, appearing in international Vogue editions and hired by Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano.

This model is the model to watch in 2011.

Happy New Year! And Chinese New Year for my fellow Chinese peeps.

Miranda Makes Vogue History

She is known as a Victoria's Secret Angel and won the Dolly Magazine competition which provided her the start to her modelling career.

She has walked for countless couture and high-end labels such as Gucci.

In her latest works, she posted nude for W Magazine in the states and has made history by appearing on the cover of Australian Vogue pregnant. Now this is saying something big. In an industry that favours size zeros, this move is definitely welcomed.

And doesn't she look so beautiful? I love her voluminous hair and the colour is a perfect chestnut. It has the right combination of curls and waves, adding to an illusion of bounce and life. And that's just the hair. She looks amazing!

If you want a piece of her (real estate), her New York apartment is for sale...and it looks pretty good too.
