VMAs 2013 Fashion

So it's been week since Miley Cyrus tried to make history with Robin Thicke.

That raunching performance is still unfortunately stuck in my head, Hannah Montana is definitely dead in her mind.

So let's try to forget that and check out the fashion on the red carpet.

The Best

Taylor Swift, going for elegance in a Herve dress

The Amazing

Rita Ora, in a beautiful dress with a long, feathered tail

The Questionable

Lady Gaga, dressed like a hippy widow

The Most Improved

Selena Gomez, growing up by the second

Representing Aussie

Iggy, new hip hop star which the US and UK loves

So What did Miley wear before her scarring performance?

Special Shoutout

Danity Kane reunion, band formed by Diddy years ago, "Damaged"

Katy Perry, in the theme of her new song "Roar", looking hot!

March Fashion Magazine Covers

This week, I couldn't ignore the glossiness and beauty of each one of these international magazine covers. They are all engaging in their own right and they are highlighting some new talents.

UK VOGUE

For the boys, Model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – is starring in the forthcoming Transformers 3 film – makes her solo cover debut with this month's issue. (She replaces Megan Fox...so what does everyone think?)

US VOGUE

Not shy of attention, this lady has achieved her first ever Vogue cover. Finally, the Devil Wears Prada acknowledges Lady GaGa's influences on trends and fashion.

US ELLE

Katy Perry in colour blocks. She speaks about how her first record company dropped her when she was writing and singing Christian rock songs. Interesting fact, she was blonde back then. Brunette definitely suits her.

AUST VOGUE

The one message for this season is that it’s time to be brave and embrace the joy of colour (I am trying to remind myself not to wear black every single day), whether it be with prints, stripes or just big bright bold blocks. And what better inspiration than that capital of colour - MEXICO! (Which is the location of where the cover was shot)

All of these mags are available at Borders and some available at the local newsagency.

Happy colour blocking or striping!

Finally going to smell like GaGa

She's been around for awhile now. She's won numerous awards for her music and videos but I have always tuned out only because I thought she was OTT.

I must admit, she is a creative being. Her music is addictive and her lyrics have meaning (even if they are inappropriate for my innocent ears) and her style has made her a fashion icon.

Her individuality and her unique look has sky-rocketed her to every women's and fashion magazine, blog and website. No doubt, check out what she wore to the MTV awards. (And those alien and sky-scraping (late) Alex McQueen shoes)

In the latest Gaga news, there's a new book out about how she is insecure (likes to sleep with her tour manager's wife) and how her media persona is 'crazy' because the record company said she was not pretty enough to be a pop star.

She is also joining forces with a beauty giant to create her new fragrance. It's the same company that produced Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce's perfumes.

I am guessing, it's going to be a sell-out.

But what will she name it? 'Dance Fever', 'Disco Fever', 'Little Monsters', 'Black, Bad Romance'.

I hear you, thank goodness I am not in the marketing department because I suck!

Whether you hate her and find her really annoying, you must admit, she's changing fashion styles and creating new trends, she's getting people talking. Or love her, because she's so wacky and her music is different, she will be around for at least another three decades.

Heck, even Paris Hilton wants to be GaGa! (And that's saying a lot!)
