Summer Fragrance Reviews

I have put down short reviews about some of the summer fragrances.

Updated with the actual words rather than the link.

Here we go...

Orange Blossom Cologne
Jo Malone
RRP: $80/$140
Sweet Orange Flowers
This fragrance, although, it's cologne is definitely a feminine fragrance. This is my second fav fragrance from Jo Malone. It's soft, citrus and great around the home & bathroom. Awesome mother and grandmothers.

Britney's Fantasy

Fantasy Britney Spears Eau de Parfum
Britney Spears Beauty
RRP: $49 / $59
Super sweet
I love sweetness but I feel sometimes I have to be in the right mode for it because it's overpowering!

Britney's Curious

Curious Eau de Parfum
Britney Spears Beauty
RRP: $49 / $59
One of my favs
I have so many memories from this lovely fragrance. It's feminine, young and sweet.

Chloe

ChloƩ Eau de Parfum
Chloe
RRP: $90 / $130 / $170
Daily use
Feminine and the perfect way to finish up an outfit. It's floral and delicious.

Marc Jacob's Daisy

Daisy
Marc Jacobs
RRP: $90 / $120
Daisy
i love the concept and the design of the bottle.
But, is it the perfect Spring and Summer fragrance, no. It puts up a good effort though.

Davidoff's Echo Woman

Davidoff Echo Woman Eau De Parfum
Davidoff
RRP: $59
I would call this a classic
Definitely one that is for every woman.
it's feminine, subtle and very classy.

benefit's Maybe Baby

Baby Maybe Baby
Benefit
RRP: $51
Sweet Divine
Just like everything else in their range, it's unique, fun and quirky. This fragrance is no different. It's sweet and makes me want to have fun.

Sarah Jessica Parker's NYC

SJP NYC Eau de Toilette Spray
Sarah Jessica Parker
RRP: $55 / $70
Mini SITC
Definitely more of a youthful Carrie. It's more for the girls in their 20s or high school. It's fun, sweet and not too overpowering.

Summer TV Viewing Pleasures

Summer is just around the corner and there are some very exciting tv shows to be shown.

First on the list:

Hawaii-Five-O - This show is a remake and stars Aussie Star Alex O'Loughlin. It is a cross between NCIS (without the NCIS unique humour) and includes a lot of action and fighting scenes. The show also stars Grace Park who is over 35 but you wouldn't have known unless I told you. And she's hot and an awesome female cop. There's humour and there's great on-screen chemistry. Love!

Nikita - There has been a movie and a series based on this woman. But who is she? She was trained as an assassin but turns out the company that she works for, isn’t really the government and must be stopped. She is the new Alias but with less mysteries, mind-bending scenarios and double-identities (I’m referring to Vaughn and Sydney’s mother). However, she still kicks a lot of arse so expect a lot of action and female power. On Go!

Pretty Little Liars - Who killed their best friend? As episodes unravel, the audience discovers the deep dark secrets of each of the teenage girls in the show. It's not as family-rated tv show as I thought it would be. Slightly dark, scary and lots of twists. (Cue lesbian love, forbidden relationship between student and teacher, youth lipo...see it isn't really family orientated.)

The Gates - following the success of vampires and werewolves, another tv show has emerged. This time, a community within 'The Gates' all live with very dark and deep secrets. A family moves there, the dad being the new Chief of police. There are many twists, it's dark, scary, lots of blood but the usual teenage love story and normal drama. (Expect vampire and werewolf showdowns, voodoo magic and other creepy stuff)

Happy Viewing! But if it's an awesome day, go to the beach...it's summer after all.

Temt & Shop Til You Shop Summer Cruise

Last night was a breezy night. It was chilly and for the first time this Spring I wish that I wore stockings!

My lovely mummy and I docked a Russian boat (not entirely sure what a Russian boat should looks like but this one was old looking and made lots of creaky noises) at approxmately 6.15pm.

(Funny Moment) I got asked by one of the organisers if I was over 18...please leave your comments here.

The boat was already full of people seated both downstairs and upstairs but to credit my smart mother, she found us some seats in between tables.

We sipped Schweppes mineral water and chatted (more like heated discussion of many topics including politics...huh?)

After half an hour, we arrived at Harbourside Shopping Centre. All the guests walked upstairs, trailing one after each other like a pack of excited wolves. We were greeted by a massive red curtain and a black (instead of red) carpet.

We were welcomed and after the introduction, all the women madly RUSHED into the store. (That was the scariest bit!)

On service, there was canapes of sushi, ham and cheese sandwiches and spinach and cheese pastries. We passed on the champagne because it was a Wednesday night and simply enjoyed browsing through the store.

Onto the fashion!

Trends this summer:

Angelic - the pastel and soft pinks are back! Full of fine details such as lace, frills. It's all about looking innocent and very feminine.

Navy - inspired by the sea no doubt. The looks are more fitted and structure. They are shorts paired with stripes

Casual - pieces are loose, but still paired with soft looks such as floral tops. And short shorts are back!

Oh I forgot to mention there was 20% last night but I didn't manage to get anything because it was like sardines in the store.

But there's always next time.
