This White Shirt
I love charities and I love it when celebrities get involved and contribute.
So I was delighted to see Rachael Finch sign up to be the face of Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) – the White Shirt campaign.
A little bit about this cancer:
Ovarian cancer is the ninth most common cancer diagnosed in women and the second most commonly diagnosed gynaecological cancer and is the seventh most common cause of cancer death in Australian women.
The five year survival rate for Australian women with ovarian cancer has increased significantly, from 33% in 1982-1987 to 40% in 2000-2006
So to sum it all up, it’s deadly and it could affect someone you know, whether it’s your mum, sister, cousin, girlfriend..you get the point.
This White Shirt campaign is ran by OCRF and Witchery.
From 19 May, which is in ten days, you can go into any Witchery store and buy this special white shirt.
In other news, former TV presenter and now Bollywood actress Tania Zaetta’s charity for children has been suspended. It makes us question, the money they raised went towards to the costs rather than actually giving it to the kids.
Sounds pretty dodging to me.
But get yourself a WHITE SHIRT coz’ it saves lives :)
Xo
