Sparklers...for the girls

There's a song that says that diamonds are a girl's best friend.

And there is some truth in that.

So I've listed out some of the below items that is more of a sugesstion to the boyfriends and guys to buy something pretty...something that sparkles.

These Pave Balls Sherpard Earrings are so pretty. They are only $150 for something that looks like $10,000. By Secrets Shh in Westfield Pitt St Mall.

This pink watch is called the Mini Riley. It's got a silicone dial and it's by Fossil. And it's cheaper than Guess watches, only at $149.

If you love the girl, give her jewellery with a heart. That's making a statement.
This necklace is $95 and buy Charm Me.

(And girls, don't be afraid to send him the link to this...that way you don't have to say it, let the blog do it's talking)

This White Shirt

I love charities and I love it when celebrities get involved and contribute.

So I was delighted to see Rachael Finch sign up to be the face of Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) – the White Shirt campaign.

A little bit about this cancer:

Ovarian cancer is the ninth most common cancer diagnosed in women and the second most commonly diagnosed gynaecological cancer and is the seventh most common cause of cancer death in Australian women.

The five year survival rate for Australian women with ovarian cancer has increased significantly, from 33% in 1982-1987 to 40% in 2000-2006

So to sum it all up, it’s deadly and it could affect someone you know, whether it’s your mum, sister, cousin, girlfriend..you get the point.

This White Shirt campaign is ran by OCRF and Witchery.

From 19 May, which is in ten days, you can go into any Witchery store and buy this special white shirt.

In other news, former TV presenter and now Bollywood actress Tania Zaetta’s charity for children has been suspended. It makes us question, the money they raised went towards to the costs rather than actually giving it to the kids.
Sounds pretty dodging to me.

But get yourself a WHITE SHIRT coz’ it saves lives :)

Australian Fashion Week Trends 2011

So it's Friday and it's the last day of the Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2010 so I thought I would do a quick visual and written summary of what the up-coming trends for 2011 are.

Alice McCall, plenty of nudes, colours, very sexy and very feminine.

I love the above dress by Alice McCall. It's so adorable. It shows off her playful side.

Former winner of Austraia's Next Top Model model - Alice shows off feminine, soft, long and ethereal for Toni Maticevski. Lots of pastels.

Dion Lee, Aussie biggest fashion designer showed off structured pieces.

Jen Hawkins opens the show for Ellery. Feminine, sexy and lots of long dresses and gowns. Lots of brights.

And that little black dress by Yeojin Bae. A trend that never dies.

Till next time!

Best & Worst Dressed from 2011 Logies

I like looking at dresses. And Logies happen to be an event where all of the local celebrities dress up.

So needless to say that I was disappointed this year. Scroll through the pics and you will see why.

Laura Dundovic (I must be nice because her dad works at my company and could any moment come down and have a firm word with me) looks hot! Her dress by Charlie Brown looks sexy and fits her well. Her hair is sleek. But her tan...over.the.top. And her white knickers...they are showing.

Perhaps the dress wasn't the right choice after all.

Next the Queens and Princesses of White.

Erin is also too orange. And Erin, please try to smile. The Logies is a celebration of Aussie tv. But your dress does look good.

Jess nominated for her first Gold Logie decided to share with us a little too much of herself.

Sonia, no doubt looking forward to the start of Dancing with the Stars. Only because she gets to dress up every week for the show.

Megan also in white. The dress is nice but we've seen it before. Next!

Lee is almost an Oompa Loompa.

Natalie is a mermaid! The dress is really nicely fitted.

Katy injects some of her fashion style and 80s.

Carrie from the 7pm Project gives us some colour! Finally...something different from the white, dark blues and bronze. (See below)

I love Michelle. But I don't love this dress.

Some dark blue. Sleek and beautiful dress. But again, the Aussie women have overdone the tan. Let's at least hope it's fake tan rather than cancer tan.

I have no words to describe this dress. Girly? At least she looks happy.

What are your thoughts?
Who were the clear winners and losers?
